Is Quikmove licensed and insured?
We are licensed and insured by the U.S. Department of Transport, The Missouri State Department of Transportation and we are held to the highest standard by the Better Business Bureau.
Can I get a certificate of insurance for my building?
Yes, we can provide a COI after your reservation is made, at no charge. COI is up to $2,000,000.
How much time should I reserve my move in advance?
If you have specific time and date restrictions, always try to plan and schedule your move a month in advance.
If something is damaged during my move isn’t QuikMove liable to replace it?
Quikmove is only liable to replace or repair damaged/missing items if you chose to purchase the Full Value Protection for additional cost. We also work with a 3rd party company as another option for protection.
In the event that you have chosen to go with the Free Basic Coverage, the liability is 30 cent per pound for local moves and 60 cents per pound for long distance.
Who do I contact after my move if I have any questions?
You should contact your Account Manager regarding all questions or concerns about your move. Our contact methods are listed here.
What time should I expect the movers to arrive?
That will be determined by your Account Manager / dispatch department. You will receive a call at least 48 hours prior to your move from the Account Manager with the time-frame
What is the latest the movers work?
Unless there are building restrictions, our movers will work until the job is complete.
Will inclement weather affect the process of my move?
Weather can affect the delivery window in case roads are blocked due to severe weather conditions.
In all other cases, weather should not affect your move as we employ professional movers who are properly trained, prepared, and fully equipped to handle all moves during any inclement weather. Once your crew arrives, their professionalism will automatically put you at ease.
Will movers unmount my television?
Movers can unmount the TV for additional charge.
Do I need to be home during my move?
Ideally we encourage customers to be present during their move so you can supervise the process, if you cannot be home we ask you to designate an adult representative that you can trust to help supervise your move in or out (friend, family member, assistant). The person needs to be an adult.
How big is the truck?
A straight truck ranges anywhere between 15’ and 26’ long.
Should I tip the movers?
Tip is in no way mandatory however it is customary.
